It’s sprinkling outside
But you want to see
Rain is such a mystery
It drops on your head
And you smile at me
How amazing to see
The world through your eyes
Your silent wonder
At rain from the sky

Handwriting Tag
My blogger friend, Squid, nominated me for the “Handwriting Tag.” Since blogging generally consists of lots of typing, it was fun to grab a piece of paper and hand write my answers to the questions:
- My name
- My blog’s name
- My favorite word and its definition
- Something nice
- The name of my favorite song right now
- What I was writing with
- A fun fact about myself
- To write and/or draw my favorite emoticon
- A silly message
- Who I’m tagging
Thank you, Squid for this nomination! 🙂
Nominated Blogs (I look forward to hearing your answers, if you’d like to join along!) 🙂
Moments of the Heart
Agulha no Palheiro
In Sun or Rain
Infinite
If You created the infinite sky
Know each star by name
Measured the oceans
In the palm of Your hand
If mountains can be moved
And cast in the sea
By faith as small
As a mustard seed
If You are as big
As we can’t even dream
Then why in the world
Do I worry?
Pray…
When the world brings us down
To our knees
When our hearts are broken
There’s so much need
When we’ve lost our words
Hurt untold
It’s here that we learn to pray
It’s here that we learn to let go
It’s here that we find freedom
When the world brings us down
To our knees
Heaven and earth meet
The Cherry Tree
I find You by the cherry tree
When I’m sitting on the rock
Your Word in my hands
Bright sky above
Prayers rising
Whispered
Cried
And sung
The evening fades
To darker shades
And the stars appear
Up I gaze
To the One who made all I see
I find You by the cherry tree
Onions
Whenever onions make me cry
I think of when we first met
Slicing onions in the kitchen
We didn’t know yet
What dear friends we’d become
Crying over sorrow that would come
Bigger tears than onions bring
But sweeter joy and laughter ring
From a friendship made
By the King of Kings
Shelter Her Heart
Shelter her heart in Your hands
Though in a dark world she stands
May she hear Your voice and know You’re near
Drawing her closer year by year
May this little girl grow
To be a woman of faith
Who trusts her heart
To Your embrace
And never fears
The darkness around
For in Your Word
Her hope is found
