Where There’s Love

Where there’s love
Fear flees
Pride dies
Hearts break
Scars heal
Truth speaks
Freedom soars
Trust grows
Hope springs
A soul sings
Life

  1. Wonderful poem. I love your economy of words. I also read your story about coming to faith. Very much like my own. Prayer request: please pray for my dear friend Nabeel Qureshi, age 33, married with a 14 month old daughter. Just diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer, GRIM prognosis. You can find Nabeel’s talks and sermons on the web. His journey from Islam to trust in Jesus is AMAZING!
    Blessings, Roger

    • Thank you so much for your kind comment, Mr. Roger! That is neat that you have a similar testimony. We serve an awesome God!

Oh my….This is so heartbreaking…yes, I will be praying! I met Nabeel Quershi at an apologetics conference a few years back….He sure does have an AMAZING testimony!

  2. So, Nabeel preached three sermons at Houston’s First Baptist Church this weekend. Those sermons will be posted on the HFBC website by next Monday. They were stunning. I saw them via webcast. Praying for Nabeel day and night. On a separate note, how cool is it that your name is Joy! ‘JOY’ played such a key role in the life of C.S. Lewis.

    • Thank you for sharing about the sermons so that I can listen to them too! We serve a mighty God who can heal….

I’m thankful for the name my parents picked. 🙂 And yes…I’ve heard somewhat about C.S. Lewis’ quest for joy, and how it led him to God!
