Time

Time

It flies
If we don’t pause
We’ll never find
The treasures hidden
In these hard and beautiful days
Joy and pain
Sun and rain
So often united

Time

Don’t take it for granted
It comes
But it goes away
When we look back what will we see?
Did we stop
To live, to change, to believe
Or did we run
Without a dream?
So live today
As the gift it is
From the God who created us to be
His hands and feet

Time

It changes
This world in need
As we give Him everything

10 Years

In 10 years it’ll make sense
What I should’ve seen
Should’ve done
Should’ve known
That You were working
Through everything
For Your glory
In 10 years Your love will be sweeter
Your grace even deeper
As it’s carried me
Sanctified me
Changed me
In 10 years I’ll have more “thank Yous”
More reasons to trust You
More tears, more laughs
More hard lessons learned
More blessed-assurance
I’ll be closer to eternity
Closer to You
But if 10 years doesn’t come
And all I have is today
Did I live it right?
Am I ready
To step over the Jordan
To the New Jerusalem?
Am I ready to die
Am I ready to live
Today

Cherished

I love you more than words can say
You’ve touched my heart in so many ways
Each day you’re learning something new
And so often I find I learn from you
How to trust
How to love

How to make others smile
And though I only hold your hand for a while
I hold you in my heart forever
Cherishing these times together
Each day is a gift that God keeps on giving
Bringing a deeper meaning for living

A Poem & A Party

Thankfulness
Is sunshine
In my rain
Peace of heart
When there is pain
It builds a home
When I’m afraid
A place where nothing
Can shake my faith
It’s a smile
That lifts
My weary soul
A friend I’ll have
Even when I’m old
It’s always free
Can’t be taken
From me
A thankful heart
Is a treasure
To keep
And a gift
To give

Whoever I meet

P.S. You can come join the “What Are You Thankful For?” Link-up Party on my personal blog hosted by Radical Femininity. If you have any posts on the theme of Thanksgiving or thankfulness you can share them in the link-up, or simply comment what you’re thankful for today. Let’s cultivate the art of thankfulness & behold the joy that it brings! {This will be open from November 11th-25th} ❤
