So I’ve been quiet
It’s hard to explain
How poetry comes and goes away
But that’s okay
I know this will change
I’ll share some more
Sometime
Someday
I’m just quiet here
Today

The idea made me smile…
My brother has been posting
Stunning pictures on his photo blog
What if I wrote poems inspired by these pics?
Thus, I’m starting

Photo Challenge (Day 1)
Thank you to Miss Squid once again for another fun blog nomination! This one is the “Photo Challenge,” and there will be five days with a new theme each day. The rules are…
1) the photo must be taken the day of the post
2) it must be an original photo
I’ve kept this blog strictly text-oriented, but I told Miss Squid that I would “break the rules” this time. 🙂 After all, it’s good to have a change. I don’t have a fancy camera–just my family’s point-and-shoot–but I love the artistic side of photography.
Today’s word is “intricate”
There just happened to be a rain storm this afternoon, leaving the grass glittering with droplets of this much needed gift from above (we’ve had a drought here in Alabama). And that is where I discovered this lovely white clover. Yahweh designed even the weeds to be intricate and beautiful. His Creation amazes me.
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”
Isaiah 40:8
{P.s. This song was playing as I was writing this post–pretty fitting.}
The Quote Challenge (Day 2)
❃ Art❃
“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.”
Victor Hugo
“The artist sees what others only catch a glimpse of.”
Leonardo Da Vinci
“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”
Pablo Picasso
And here’s another one for good measure, because it makes me smile. 🙂
“The earth without ‘art’ is just ‘eh’.”

Clare at Clare’s Spot
Eileen at The Scenice Route
Krystiana at Krystiana Brimful
She Stares in Wonder
She stares in wonder
And smiles at the rain
As it gently
Pitter-patters
On the window pane
Not yet two
Still young at heart
May she always keep
That joyful spark
To see the world
As Your work of art
This Little Heart
This little heart
Held in Your hands
Must surrender
And trust in Your plans
Sometimes it’s so hard
To know what will be
And at times I lose sight
Of Your goodness to me
Though You don’t promise to answer
Every question I have
You do promise to lead me
By Your rod and Your staff
And satisfy my soul
With all I could need
Oh, give me the faith to believe
That You are doing more
Than I could dream
Painting a picture
From heaven’s point of view
That will change the world
And bring glory to You
Oh, remind me that You
Hold the pen in Your hand
Help me to trust in Your plan
The Sky Has a Song
The sky has a song
The birds sing along
And clap their wings to the beat
The clouds dance
As the wind blows
Whistling through the trees
Summer is a Song
Streetlamps burn
Amber
Bright
Along the sidewalk
In dusky light
The moon
A smile
In the milky
Sky
Fluffy clouds
Painted
Orange
Tonight
Humid air
Too thick to breathe
Summer is a song
July
will
Sing
Made Beautiful
You don’t need make-up
To hide behind
Or a mirror
To see yourself
‘Cause you are so much more
Than a reflection
In glass
You’re a broken soul
Made beautiful
Dust
Alive
Forever
To Describe
No one
Could ever
Describe
Anyone else
Because
Everyone
Is so unique
How greatly we vary
Yet how closely we stand
Each a masterpiece
In The Artist’s hand
Made in the image of God
