These summer days
They slip away
Before you know it
Fall leaves arrayed
Beneath our feet
The earth grows cold
And here comes winter
Ever bold
‘Tis the truth
Since times old
Seasons change
There’s sun
There’s snow
But God’s love won’t let us go
These winter days
Burst into spring
And once again we’ll learn to sing
These summer days
Aren’t here to stay
So cherish them in every way
For the gift they are

Let’s acknowledge what is true
For every life is precious
A gift from above
Let’s not forget
Let’s stand for honesty
For love
For freedom
For those who have no voice
For the unborn
For the slave
For the unknown and ignored
Let’s stand for hope
For justice
For grace
Let’s walk humbly
Bravely
Toward the God of our redemption
Toward the hope of tomorrow

A quick hug
Distracted listening
Lack of vision
Days blur together
What is tomorrow?
It is today
Where are we going?
Stop.
Run to a quiet place
Sit
Rest
Let Him come
In His time
Changing your heart
Thunder rolls
Music plays
Your heart sings along
Dancing in the rain
Joy through the pain
Faith, hope, and love remain
Peace doesn’t come
Through restless waiting
It comes through abiding
Resting
In the hands of the One
Who made your heartbeat
It comes in the stillness
When fear is cut down
By faith’s mighty sword
When your worries
Turn to worship
When your longings become
A prayer
When you open your hands
For Him to empty or fill
Summer leaving
Grass is fading
Restless air
Leaves changing
Falling
Returning to the soil
Something stirring
In our souls
Daydreaming
Sipping cider
Another year slipping by
Preparing for the winter
With hearts warmed by thankfulness
Celebrating fall together
Let go of the past
Cherish the moment
Live for Him today
And today will become tomorrow
And tomorrow will become history
And your story will be written
And the ending is only the beginning
Of His glory reflecting
On the shards of a shattered, human heart
That glistens as gold in eternal light

Truth or lies
What holds you tonight?
You can open your heart
And allow it to change
Let go of the fear & feel the rain
Falling down from the Father above
He is near
Nearer than your broken heart
Closer than the doubts swirling inside
He’s holding you together
When you cannot feel
Hearing your soul’s cry
When you cannot speak
Catching every tear that falls silently

In the storm
That He brings you peace
Rest in the middle of a restless sea
A friend is a reminder
That you’re not the only one
Struggling

Overcoming

Learning

Cherishing
Each moment together
In 10 years it’ll make sense
What I should’ve seen
Should’ve done
Should’ve known
That You were working
Through everything
For Your glory
In 10 years Your love will be sweeter
Your grace even deeper
As it’s carried me
Sanctified me
Changed me
In 10 years I’ll have more “thank Yous”
More reasons to trust You
More tears, more laughs
More hard lessons learned
More blessed-assurance
