Time
It flies
If we don’t pause
We’ll never find
The treasures hidden
In these hard and beautiful days
Joy and pain
Sun and rain
So often united
Time
Don’t take it for granted
It comes
But it goes away
When we look back what will we see?
Did we stop
To live, to change, to believe
Or did we run
Without a dream?
So live today
As the gift it is
From the God who created us to be
His hands and feet
Time
It changes
This world in need
As we give Him everything
Praise
Comes alive
Deep inside of me
Pulling me
Deeper
Into a realization
Of who You are
The Artist of creation
The melody of life
My rhythm & rhyme
Is empty
Without You
My greatest dreams
Are all loss
Without You
My deepest longings
Are found
In You
No words
Can explain
Who You are to me
No way to show my love

Surrender
Walking beside You
Living by Your Word
Led by Your Spirit
But I’m so frail
And human
Desperately
Needing You
More
Every hour
Every day
Come be my light
And saving grace
I want
To bring You

Summer leaving
Grass is fading
Restless air
Leaves changing
Falling
Returning to the soil
Something stirring
In our souls
Daydreaming
Sipping cider
Another year slipping by
Preparing for the winter
With hearts warmed by thankfulness
Celebrating fall together
My heart has a story
Uniquely its own
Tears & laughter
Hopes & dreams
Dance together in many scenes
The Author often brings a twist
I couldn’t have foreseen
And keeps this young lady guessing
Till the last page I read
But through it all
I see His hand
Gently guiding me
Revealing His plan
My heart has a story
Yours has one too
I’d love to hear
How He’s been faithful to you
Only the view from the mountain
The Jordan River between
The valley that stretched before him
Was the land of his dreams
Did his fatal sin sting him
And anger fill him with rage?
Or did he rest on top of Pisgah
At peace and unafraid
Knowing death was not his fate
Soon he would stand at Zion’s Gate
And walk in the golden sand
Of the eternal, heavenly Promise Land
To the dear couples who have shown me the meaning of true love, and the importance of prayer in finding it. This poem is inspired by you.
What a peace
It is to know
That I’m praying
For you
And you’re praying
For me
Whether we’ve met
Or not
One day
We’ll meet
If it’s the Father’s plan
We’ll see
That love comes through prayer
And through prayer
We’ll keep
Strong
And true
Through whatever may be
Faith is the anchor
That holds
You and me
What do I pray
To the One who calls
The stars by name
Trillions
Beyond what I can see
Sparkling
For the King of Kings
What do I know
Of His plans for me
He says
Let go
Trust is complete
It takes
Every part of me
My broken heart
And shattered dreams
The scars that have healed
And yet they bleed
The thoughts that I keep
Buried deep
My heart wants a fight
But can it battle Elohim?
The One who gives life
To everything
It’s all in the open
Open sky
Clear before You
Like the stars each night
This is surrender
I give up the fight
What can I pray
To the One Host High
Except
Thy will be done
Tonight
I am nothing
Without Your light
Through the window I see
the moon in flight
Hiding behind the trees
It’s full
It’s bright
Overcoming the darkness with light
I see the clouds
Fluffy
Faintly
White
The neighborhood is sleeping
In the peaceful night
Dreaming till the sun will rise
We’ve met at last
Where we met at first
In the town
Where we became friends
The porch swing creaks
As we gently swing
Back to long ago dreams
We laugh the same
Though life has changed
In some ways
Of course it would
But when we hug
As sisters should
And pray for one other
My heart is blessed
That we’re still friends
