Silent
Gentle
Moments of peace
Dawn in the morning
After I sleep
In the stillness
Yeshua’s voice can speak
Waking my heart
To the truth I seek
Monthly Archives: February 2016
Hey Y’all…
Just wanted to let you know that my amazing sister has started a blog where she’ll be sharing her poetry. Check it out! 🙂
In Sun or Rain
For the Land
When will the shadows turn to light
When will Zion be a delight?
When will her children walk in peace
When will violence leave her streets
When will the tears cease?
On You we wait
Like watchmen pray
Oh, defend this city
By Your great Name
Please send from above
Oh, heavenly Dove
And heal the Land
That You love
February 3rd
You were my age
You were young
You were brave
Braver than most
You had hopes
And dreams
And plans
Just like us all
You woke up that day
Like any other
Not knowing
That it would be your last
Not knowing
That you would be a hero
You gave your life
For the peace of Jerusalem
The Holy City
For our country
The Promise Land
You gave your life
For HaTikvah
For us all
In memory & honor of Hadar Cohen, a 19-year-old daughter of Israel who gave her life for her country.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, let those who love You be at rest.” {Psalm 122:6}
Then Sings My Soul…
When my life song is ending
And my last note is sung
I’ll join Him in eternity
Where the singing’s
Just begun
Remembrance
You never have a worry
You never have a fear
You’re in the place
We long to be
And yet we miss you here
When Tomorrow Comes
When tomorrow comes
It’ll be today
And again & again
This will remain
If we dream away
Instead of living today
When will our dreams come true?
Only…
When tomorrow becomes today
And we’ve done what we needed to do.
Sisters by Heart
The miles between us
Can’t keep us apart
Because Yah has made us
Sisters by heart
*******
Our friendship
Has blessed my soul
More than words can say
In my prayers
You’re never far away
I’m thankful for you
Every day
One Day
I don’t have the reasons why
I don’t have the answers
For all these questions inside
But this I know
I’m never alone
One day
He’s coming back
To bring me home
One day
I’ll know
The reasons why
He’ll give me the answer
To every question inside
When at last
In His presence
I’m alive
Then
“My faith shall be my eyes”
Moses
Only the view from the mountain
The Jordan River between
The valley that stretched before him
Was the land of his dreams
Did his fatal sin sting him
And anger fill him with rage?
Or did he rest on top of Pisgah
At peace and unafraid
Knowing death was not his fate
Soon he would stand at Zion’s Gate
And walk in the golden sand
Of the eternal, heavenly Promise Land
